also comes from the renowned kennel of Mrs. June Head in New South Wales, Australia. Carmen has the most loving temperament you will find anywhere. She loves to be carried around and snuggled. Like our two boys, she is always eager to meet new people, and the word "stranger" just is not in her canine vocabulary.
Carmen has so many of the attributes we strive for. She has an excellent front, arrow straight legs, plenty of bend of stifle which is easily seen in her powerful driving rear as she rockets after any ball you throw for her and a strong topline. She has a magnificent head with plenty of backskull, jaw and muzzle and the substance we require on a quality terrier. There is nothing light or snipey about this girl. She also boasts a pedigree of distinction. Her ancestors include the unparalleled CH Malung Orinoco, GRCH Coleann Brown Lagar, CH Rosetta/RJ Rookie, CH Malung Jim Beam and many more Australian JRTs of notoriety. In her 4 generation pedigree 20 of Carmen's ancestors are Australian champions. It is a solid pedigree of exceptional quality that we are pleased to have in our breeding program.
Carmen came into season 6 weeks before expected and before we were able to ship her from Australia to the US, and so we took advantage of the good fortune to breed her to another of our favorite champion producing males in Australia...Aust CH Karrell Jack Daniels (CERF clear at 9 years of age). We felt that a litter by Jack Daniels would give us not only more outcross blood, but also would allow us to include more of Australia's outstanding show bloodlines. Jack Daniels is a son of Aust CH Myrmidon Jack General and grandson of Aust CH Myrmidon Jack Niz on his sire's side, and a grandson of Aust CH Myrmidon Jack Cam on his dam's side. Jocelyn Cansdell's Myrmidon terriers are well known throughout the world for their consistent quality. Carmen's was whelped the middle of February 2007, and we couldn't be more excited about this blessed event! We kept a bitch pup, Falling Branch Gold Coast, out of the litter
Carmen's second litter was sired by CH Tracking Truman of Jack's Paradise and what a litter that was. Carmen presented us with 6 puppies (3 males and 3 females) in an hour and a half then got up and chowed down a huge bowl of chicken, rice and veggies. She is the best mother anyone could possibly ask for. The Truman litter was superb. Making choices about what to keep was so difficult because of the eveness of quality among the pups. Regardless of what we decided to keep we wouldn't have been wrong.
We are honored to have such a solid bitch with outstanding quality in structure, temperament and pedigree in our show and breeding program. Carmen will be shown in the UKC and later in the AKC when this breed goes into the Terrier Group
Carmen is CERF clear, BAER normal, caridac normal, thyroid normal and with normal patellas. Both litters of her puppies are also BAER normal, cardiac normal and with normal patellas.
