Siroco established himself in Australia and throughout the world not just as a top show dog, but also as an extremely prepotent sire of outstanding quality. Siroco's offspring AND grandchildren have won countless BOB, many Group placements and BIS. Whether Siroco has been outcrossed or linebred makes no difference. He gives the best of his traits to his children who, in turn, pass those same traits to their children and grandchildren. Consequently, not only is CH Merrilong Siroco a sire of top Jack Russells, but his sons and daughters are also following in his paw prints by producing consistent, big winning children and grandchildren. There is no doubt that Siroco and his bloodline are stamping out quality through the generations. And this is the mark of a once in a lifetime stud dog.

We adore both of our Siroco children, CH Merrilong Kalvaro and GRCH Carisbrooke Yule Tide. And as the old saying so rightly goes, if you love a dog then go back to the sire. We are blessed to be able to add CH Merrilong Siroco to our carefully selected show team and breeding program. There is no doubt that this boy will make his mark on the American gene pool of top quality Jack Russell Terriers.

A million thanks to June Head for sharing Siroco with us. It was not an easy decision for June to make, and I know her heart was breaking as she handed Siroco over to embark on a new adventure. June has a lifetime experience breeding some of the world's top Thoroughbred polo ponies and dogs. She knows the value of top producing bloodlines; and it is June's generosity to the breed in the US that has made the addition of this world-renowned male a reality.

So we welcomed the magnificient Aust CH Merrilong Siroco to America the 2008 Christmas season. May we have many more holiday seasons with this gorgeous boy, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchilden in years to come. We have found Siroco an absolute delight to live with. He stepped out of his crate into a new world with unknown people like he owned the place and like he'd known us all of his life--remarkable for an adult male that has lived all his life with his adoring owner-breeder. It spoke volumes about this boy's innate temperament. Siroco is one of the most intelligent dogs we've know, loves everyone, gets along with other terriers and is so very affectionate. Siroco isn't just a "pretty face". He has a character and temperament one dreams about in a dog of any breed.
